Female Anatomy
A). Uterine Tubes (Fallopian Tubes or Oviducts)
1). Function:
2). Anatomy
The ampulla curves around the ovary.
The ampulla ends at the infundibulum that terminates in finger projections called fimbrae.
It connects to the uterus at the isthmus.
3). Oocyte is expelled into the peritoneal cavityÞ
the fimbrae capture the oocyteÞ
it travels through the ampulla
(it maybe fertilized here)Þ
reaches the uterus at the isthmus.
